Do-It-Yourself project description for your new desk

With the trendy material mix, you can turn boring furniture into the focal point of the room. With golden accents, you can beautify your desk in just a few steps.

You will need…

  • One roll of d-c-fix® Sangallo Lava
  • One roll of d-c-fix® plain matte black
  • One roll of d-c-fix® high-gloss gold

  • d-c-fix® application set with cutter and squeegee
  • Tape measure
  • Pencil

Let’s go

Step 1

Prepare your materials.

Step 2

Measure the desk top and the drawer fronts.

Step 3

Cut the film to size, leaving some extra. Now, we will cover the desk top with Sangallo Lava and and the drawers with plain matte black and high-gloss gold.

Step 4

Pull part of the backer of the film off and place it on the surface.

Step 5

Now, use the squeegee and always stroke from the centre top to bottom to the sides.

Step 6

Once the top has been completely covered, slit the film at the corners and press the sides down with the spreader.

Step 7

You can cut off excess film with a cutter. In this way, you can trim curves on the desk.

Step 8

Repeat these steps for the drawers. Openings are cut with the cutter.
