DIY Hack: Super nice drawers in no time at all!

Project from Eva -

Hand on heart: At home there is always something you want to make more beautiful! And since you may have already tidied and cleaned out cupboards, chests of drawers, the office, children’s room, cellar or kitchen in the past week, here comes the next level: beauty for your drawers! Because no matter what the contents are – with the chic, fresh d-c-fix© adhesive film in the trendy beach wood look, you can bring a breath of fresh air into your drawers and – especially in the kitchen – quickly and cheaply give new shine to drawer bottoms that have been scratched and worn by everyday use.

So: Stick loose and embellish the inner values of your drawers!

You will need…

  • One roll of d-c-fix® Rio Ocean
  • Processing set d-c-fix® with squeegee and cutter
  • Measuring tape

  • Pencil
  • Scissors

Let’s go

Step 1

First you take the drawer out or disassemble it – and determine the internal dimensions of the base plate.

Step 2

Then you transfer the base plate measurement to the back side paper of the adhesive foil and cut out the foil piece.

Step 3

Before gluing, make sure that the bottom panel is clean and remove any dirt residues – if you work with a damp cloth, make sure that the drawer bottom is completely dry again.

Step 4

To apply the film, peel off the back of the film a little and place the film on two outer corners of the drawer – then use the squeegee to apply the film centimetre by centimetre across the base plate. Ready!

You’re done!
