Project from Lucy -

Let’s be honest: we eat with our eyes too! So you’re sure to enjoy beautiful dishes or your favorite cup, helping you get the day off to a good start. Now you and your four-legged friend can enjoy a beautiful DIY food bowl in a great cat shape with glitter effects. It’s a real eye-catcher, and guaranteed to raise a smile!

Spoil your cat with some everyday glamour, and get creative!

You will need…

  • One roll of d-c-fix® Glitter Pink
  • Several rolls of d-c-fix® in Plain Matt
  • d-c-fix® tool kit with doctor blade and cutting knife
  • Wooden boards
  • Jigsaw

  • Cardboard
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Bowl
  • Round wood (cut to size)

Let’s go

Step 1

First, make your own stencil by drawing the cat head outline on cardboard. Make sure to leave room for and draw a suitably large hole in the middle for inserting the feeding bowl.

Step 2

Cut out your cat stencil and transfer the outlines to the wooden board with the pencil.

Step 3

Now use the jigsaw to cut out the shape and glue the cut-out round wood to the bottom of the board to act as feet.

Step 4

Now it’s time to get styling: cover the surface of your bowl holder with the adhesive foil in a plain color, smooth over it well with the doctor blade and cut off any excess adhesive foil on both the outside and inside using scissors.

Step 5

For the finishing touch, cut two small triangles from the Glitter Pink foil and stick these onto the plain foil as ears.

You’re done!
