Glamorous kids’ kitchen in marble

This DIY Kids’ Kitchen Will Brighten Their Day

Project from Chris -

There’s big round of applause coming from the kids’ room! Small chefs and master bakers are finally getting what they deserve: A great DIY kids’ kitchen that makes playing and cooking even more fun! The DIY play kitchen has copied the best of real kitchens and current living trends. The chique marble design gives the kitchen a glamour-update, which makes hardworking overtime at the stove and creative baking adventures in the afternoon a new favourite pastime. Mums: Don’t be jealous!

You will need…

  • One roll of d-c-fix® whitewood
  • One roll of d-c-fix® marble grey
One roll of d-c-fix® metallic gold
  • d-c-fix® tool kit with doctor blade and cutting knife
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Measuring tape

Let’s go

Step 1

First measure the worktop and the fronts of the children’s kitchen.

Step 2

Add 1-2cm to the taken measurements. Now transfer the measurements of the kitchen fronts to the back of d-c-fix® whitewood. Note the dimensions of the worktop on the back of the contact paper in marble look. Cut out the adhesive film pieces.

Step 3

Now it’s time for the application – take the cooktop and the sink out. Take the marble adhesive film, remove the backing paper and apply the contact paper to the edge. Fix the d-c-fix® foil with a squeegee

Step 4

Cut out the holes for the cooktop and sink.

Step 5

Take now the white film to the hand, because with this the surface of the kids’ kitchen is covered. Remove the back paper and apply the adhesive film on the planned areas.

Step 6

As a last step you cut off the overhanging film with a cutter.

You’re done!
