Dresser decorated with emerald adhesive foil in front of a green wall.

More elegant. More chic. Emerald: this season’s color for dressers!

Project from Angelina -

Here’s something that makes old dressers and sideboards look simply irresistible. This is especially effective if the furniture is made of dark-colored real wood, or has a veneer or wood look finish. For upcycling candidates like this, the d-c-fix® adhesive foil in intense emerald is like a design glow-up. The adhesive green front panels give old furniture a modern color contrast that makes a dresser look wonderfully retro-modern. So give your dresser a hint of cool genius that will enrich your home!

You will need…

  • d-c-fix® Emerald
  • Pencil
  • Measuring tape

  • Scissors
  • Utility knife
  • Doctor blade

Let’s go

Step 1

Measure the dimensions of the drawers and then transfer the measurements to the backing paper of the adhesive foil with an allowance for sticking down the edges.

Step 2

Trim the pieces of adhesive foil to size.

Step 3

Peel back the backing paper from the first section of foil.

Step 4

Align the adhesive foil with one of the edges of the drawer front, press it on and then apply it to the entire surface with the doctor blade.

You’re done!
