DIY upcycling: redesigned vanity table with Shabby Wood and Glitter Rose d-c-fix® adhesive foils

DIY upcycling: Turn your vanity table into a beauty queen!

Project from Lucy -

Hand on heart, girls: some days, only glitter will do! That’s not just true for make-up or outfits. But also for the furniture that’s important to us – but which has seen better days. Such as your vanity table, where so many wonderful things happen. It’s high time to give this beauty furniture a great new look with DIY upcycling, including a healthy dose of glitter! How? Simple: with the chic combination of Shabby Wood decorative adhesive foils and Glitter Rose.

Let’s get to work: let it shine!

You will need…

  • A roll of Shabby Wood d-c-fix®
  • A roll of Glitter Rose d-c-fix®
  • d-c-fix® tool kit with doctor blade and cutter knife

  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Measuring tape

Let’s go

Step 1

First, measure the exact dimensions of the table top and drawers.

Step 2

Then transfer the dimensions of the elements to be glued to the rear side of the adhesive foil and cut out the foil pieces.

Step 3

Peel off a piece of the backing paper of the biggest Shabby Wood foil piece, then put the film on the edge of the table top. Use the doctor blade to spread the adhesive foil from the inside out to prevent foil bubbles.

Step 4

Now it’s time for the drawers: put the Glitter Rose foil pieces on the drawers by pressing them firmly at a point, then carefully smoothing them out with the edge of your hands. Voilà – finished!

You’re done!
