Window covered with opaque window foil in a honeycomb design in the colors white, gray and mint.

So beautiful! A privacy screen for windows you can make yourself – with d-c-fix® Wido!

Project from Chris -

Let’s be honest: Many windows create a bright, pleasant feel – but also a lot of transparency and unwanted glances from outside! Sure, you can fight it with curtains, venetian or roller blinds – but this is costly, not to everyone’s taste. It also ruins the clear look of a beautiful window. So what to do if you want the cleanest, most modern DIY privacy screen possible? Quite simply: Reach for the window foil d-c-fix® static PREMIUM Wido! And simply apply to the desired window surfaces. It’s easy to do with this static adhesive opaque foil in a geometric honeycomb design in white, mint and soft gray tones. Here’s how you can do it yourself:

You will need…

  • d-c-fix® Static PREMIUM Wido
  • Pencil
  • Measuring tape
  • Ruler

  • Utility knife
  • Smoothing blade
  • Spray bottle with water

Let’s go

Step 1

Take the tape measure and measure all the window surfaces to be covered.

Step 2

Transfer the measurements to the back of the window foil and cut the foil to size with the utility knife.

Step 3

In preparation for applying to the window, use the spray bottle to wet the window generously with water.

Step 4

Peel off the backing paper on the reverse of the adhesive foil.

Step 5

Apply the foil to one corner of the window surface.

Step 6

Use the smoothing blade to firmly press down the foil, using light pressure to remove any excess water between the window glass and the foil.

You’re done!
