Wood and concrete material mix – awaken the furniture designer in you!

15. December, 2018 / Blogpost from Alex -

Winter is here – that time of year when you prefer to stay at home. So high time that you get it feeling really cozy! You can draw inspiration from the latest color and furniture trends. To help you, we have some great news from international furniture and design fairs.

This winter, the DIY Oscar goes without question to: a wood and concrete look combined with clear, cool plain colors such as white and anthracite. What makes this stylish look so beautiful is the warm, natural charm from the wood that contrasts strikingly with the pure, plain colors or cool concrete. Warm, welcoming and cool at the same time. No doubt you have a chest of drawers, sideboard, shelves, side table or stool in your home that could do with a new, trendy look, right?

Then start on your next DIY project as a furniture designer now and get your hands on d-c-fix® films in your favorite color – plain matte white or anthracite – and combine it with trendy Ribbeck oak, Nordic elm or cool concrete. For the more natural, warmer Scandinavian chic, make sure that you incorporate more of the wood look into your piece of furniture. If you want to give your future gem a cooler industrial chic look, then you should focus more on the concrete look in your DIY project. Basically: what you like goes!

We hope you have a fun DIY winter with some great new creations!
