Do you have soccer fever already? With our DIY project, you’re sure to get in the mood!

Project from Alex -

In just a few steps, we show you how you can convert an old tray into a soccer field for your barbecue.

You will need…

  • d-c-fix® adhesive film plain matt green and plain matt white
  • Film squeegee and cutter from the d-c-fix® film application set
  • Scissors

  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Screwdriver

Let’s go

Step 1

Prepare the necessary tools and clean the tray thoroughly so that no grease remnants remain. Otherwise, the film will not correctly adhere to the substrate.

Step 2

Unscrew the sides of the tray in order to make it easier to apply the film.

Step 3

Place the tray on your d-c-fix® adhesive film and trace the outline, leaving a little extra for cutting. In addition, draw lines and circles on white film for the goals, centreline, etc. Then, cut everything out.

Step 4

Slowly pull off a portion of the backer paper and begin to apply the film on the short side of the tray. Continuously smooth the film with the squeegee so that no air bubbles form. Do the same with the playing field.

Step 5

Cut off the excess film with a cutter.

Step 6

Now, you can reassemble the tray again and tighten the screws.

You’re done!
