Make blue: Chic DIY wardrobe in a wood effect

Project from Eva -

You have probably observed this already: most hallways have a common weakness. This is the place where jackets, handbags, caps, and hats and scarves can find their place. In most cases, this means pre-programmed chaos. Sound familiar? Our DIY now saves your hallway from unsightly chaos – and gives your jackets and accessories a beautiful, tidy home thanks to chic, wood-effect adhesive foil in trendy night blue.

Can you imagine hearing what your jackets and handbags would have to say about this? Dive into the blue…

You will need…

  • Two rolls of d-c-fix® Quadro Night Blue
  • One d-c-fix® tool kit with smoother and cutter knife
  • A large wooden board
  • Screws
  • Cordless screwdriver

  • Clothes hooks
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Measuring tape

Let’s go

Step 1

Consider whether you want to allow the wood grain of the adhesive film to run vertically or horizontally – then cut the foil strips – including a bit of excess for gluing the edges – to the foil.

Step 2

Then pull out some of the backing paper and attach the film to the top edge of the wood plate – and apply the adhesive foil to the slab with the doctor blade.

Step 3

When you have completely pasted the wood plate, draw a fine line in the top third with a pencil and tape measure and mark crosses for the positioning of your coat hooks. Make sure that the distances between your hooks are the same.

Step 4

Now screw your clothes hooks to the coated wooden plate using the screwdriver – and your DIY wardrobe is ready!

You’re done!
