You will need …

  • d-c-fix® Snow glass foil
  • d-c-fix® application kit with smoothing blade and utility knife
  • d-c-fix® application fluid or spray bottle with water
  • Pencil
  • Measuring tape
  • Rule
  • Cloth
  • Battery operated tea candles

  • Screw-cap jars
  • Driftwood
  • String
  • Eucalyptus
  • Fairy lights
  • Cordless drill
  • Ceiling hook

Let’s go!

How to create the special Advent wreath, step-by-step:

Preparation

You have everything you need? Then get started!

Step 1

Clean the screw-cap jars with a cloth.

Step 2

Measure the height and circumference each jar with the tape measure.

Step 3

Transfer the measurements onto the back of the Snow glass foil.

Step 4

Now draw different-sized outlines of stars within the drawn out area on the backing paper.

Step 5

Using the utility knife, cut out the foil area along the ruler and then the individual stars.

Step 6

Remove the backing paper from the piece of glass foil.

Step 7

Apply the foil to the screw-cap jar and use the smoothing blade to press it down firmly.

Step 8

Tip: The glass foil can be positioned even more easily if you spray the screw-cap jar with water or d-c-fix® mounting fluid before applying the foil.

Step 9

Now attach a piece of string tightly onto the jar below the screw-cap rim and make a knot in it.

Step 10

Next, attach a string for hanging to the string that is already attached, tying knots at two opposite points.

Step 11

Once all the jars have the strings for hanging attached, hang the jars from the driftwood.

Step 12

Attach a string to both ends of the driftwood branch.

Step 13

Now place the battery-operated tea candles into the screw-cap jars.

Step 14

To finish, decorate the driftwood with the eucalyptus and fairy lights.

Step 15

Hang up your modern Advent decoration – and enjoy!

You’re done!
